Soon after Alan Head introduced the U.Ks first all EPP kit, the WILDTHING 46, he produced a 60″ version simply by stretching the wing to 60″ span whilst at the same time suitably increasing the fin size to maintain good yaw control. Such was the case with all 60″ versions up to and including the recently introduced mhs versions.
However, although the WILDTHING 60 mhs has had a speed advantage over the previous 60″ versions, the 46″
Alan then redesigned the 60″ version as a model in it’s own right. The root chord has been increased by 2 1/2″, the hinge line straightened out, the wing section changed, the wing loading reduced and the nose lengthened, the prototype requiring no noseweight..
Result:- The smoothest flying aerobatic EPP model that I have designed which nicely complements the WILDTHING 46 mhs, arguably the best allround EPP model yet!!
VERY SATISFYING TO FLY – SMOOOOTH FOR THE NOVICE YET STIMULATING FOR THE EXPERT!!
